The Painter - UE4

The painter works in solitude, covering with a mural the remains of something majestic and mechanical that came from the skies a long time ago.
I tried to learn & apply as many new things as possible with this real-time scene - making X-gen fur and getting it inside Unreal, rigging & skinning in Maya, making Niagara fx emmiters, etc.
The BEST part definitely was using some leftover pizza dough ( forgotten in my fridge for a while ) to scan and create some alien planet -looking terrain assets :D

The blue particle spray effect from the insect's trunk  was  custom Niagara particle emitter using a  image as a color source for the particles.

This little guy has three internal sections in his body that can recycle  matter & produce  separate colored substances that can be mixed and then sprayed to a pretty good distance  by its long trunk.

the creature's fur was made by making 3 separate X-gen descriptors and by drawing  the initial curves  using the pen tool inside Maya

I made both terrain pieces using photogrammetry assets from some pizza dough i had in my fridge. I arranged it in different shapes on my kitchen board and played with adding flour & pieces of pasta
